Joe Rapolla is a very familiar singer/songwriter around the New Jersey Shore. His debut CD entitled "Listen To This" has been very well received locally and internationally. Joe released a limited edition live CD in 2007, entitled, "LIVE At The BITTER END". His songs have been described as "a unique blend of The Beatles, Eagles, and Bruce Springsteen…with some Nashville thrown in there" Joe has played every noteworthy venue in the Northeast and has shared the stage with some of the biggest acts from around, or passing through, the Jersey Shore and New York.
Since 2006, Joe has been having a lot of fun and success touring across Italy and other European countries. For his Summer 2009 European tour, Joe released a new limited edition EP/CD, entitled "Honest... Finally". Songs from this disc are being considered for film projects and major recording artist releases. He is currently collaborating on new material with up and coming and national recording artists in Nashville.
Another music project of Joe's is a charity band called The Vowels. The Vowels are primarily comprised of music/entertainment (and related) industry executives that came together in 2005 to have some fun and do some good. The Vowels grew out of solo shows Joe was playing in a little club in Greenwich Village, NYC. Since, The Vowels have grown into a 9 piece band, including Joe's son Joseph, and fill some of the most legendary venues in NYC and the west coast. The Vowels are dedicated to bringing people together for an upbeat, interactive, social gathering, focusing on the music... while doing some good.
To date, The Vowels, and their supporters, have raised enough money to pay for life changing operations for children all over the world.
In October 2009, The Vowels were asked to headline at The Hard Rock Café in Times Square NYC for the annual Pinkfest Benefit to raise research funds for breast cancer research.
Professionally, Joe has held executive marketing positions at PolyGram/Universal, and Warner Music Group and continues to consult for major entertainment companies – more regarding his career can be found in his professional bio. Joe still lives in the shore area with his wife, Karen, and three children, Joseph, Anthony, and MaryGrace.
Joe can usually be seen performing around the Jersey Shore and New York.
